Users can adjust the behaviors of the particles, based on input factors such as pressure, bearing, tilt, and velocity.

Another new feature that creates organic shapes is called Jitter Smoothing, which offers a way to get stroke-to-stroke variation in your brushes without having to tinker with any settings. For example, Jitter Smoothing delivers more natural-looking spacing and flow in Airbrush brushstrokes, depth when using Impasto, and color transitions in multi-colored strokes.

Custom user-interface palette arrangements, another new addition, are pre-set interfaces that cater to common types of artistic work done in Corel Painter. For example, there are arrangements for illustrating, creating photo art, and one that displays only minimal UI, freeing up space for tablet users.
